Skills/Experience Required
• Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility
• 5+ years of relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) or equivalent federal service work.
• 2+ years experience in SCI and or SAP environment
• May be required to consent to and successfully complete a government counterintelligence scope polygraph
• Follows current applicable DoD/USAF/USSF regulations, policies and procedures related to Special Access Program Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information Security and Collateral security
• Proficient in use of DOD and Special Access Program systems of record DISS, JADE, & other applicable databases. Assists users with system functions. Performs all duties assigned as a Special Access Program Personnel Security Official (SPO)
• Spearheads implementation of robust processes across Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), and Industrial Security (INDUSEC), ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to regulatory standards
• Physical Security and Risk Management/Safeguarding of Classified Information
• Participates in the Security Education, Training, and Awareness program; develops relevant and tailored training products and ensures widest dissemination and understanding to the workforce
• Assesses security vulnerabilities during acquisition/development processes and advises on security measures for capability transitions
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all security programs as needed and trains the workforce on procedures that enhance protection of critical government resources, personnel, and facilities in a dynamic threat environment
• Assists self-inspections of organization’s SCI and Collateral programs, to include ensuring containers, materials, and spaces are controlled and secured
• Monitors controlled area to ensure all personnel, computers, magnetic media are in compliance; ensures physical security requirements for automated data processing and secure communications equipment are met
• Provides guidance on classification marking, accountability, control, storage, safeguarding, downgrading, declassifying, and destruction procedures for classified materials
• Other duties as assigned
Education/Certifications
• Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering degree, equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education
• Center for Development of Security excellence (CDSE) Security Specialist Course
• Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) Certification Program

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
